did you know you can fuse glass in a microwave?
so cool, right? the best part is: your creations are ready to wear the same day!
when glass is fused in a kiln, it’s necessary to wait sometimes 24 hours to see the finished work. but we can make wonderful little trinkets in a ‘micro kiln’ and enjoy some (nearly) instant gratification.
glass is the original eye candy.
if you thought it was out of your reach as a medium, this is a fun and easy way to dip your toe in the stream.
everything you need to create some lovely glass baubles is here waiting for you, including some friendly guidance.
have you read all the information about this class?
does it sound like your kind of thing?
this is a two hour session. all the materials are included.
turn your glass pendant… into a necklace.
you made a beautiful bauble, you’re in love with the look of it and can’t wait to wear it. come back for a bead-stringing session and turn that pendant into a necklace.
you may have to return to pick up your artwork.
often, pieces will be ready to leave with you. if the class is a bit larger, it might take longer to fuse and cool all the pieces. fusing only takes about 5 minutes, but your artwork needs to cool in the micro kiln for at least 15. make pick-up arrangements before you leave class.

$130 for two people ($60 each)
$165 for three people ($55 each)
$50 each for four people or more
ok for teens, but not for kids
the edges of the glass pieces can definitely be sharp. this class is not a good choice for children.
please do not sign-up any children under 16 years old. they will not be permitted to attend the class.
Bring your patience with you
working small can be meditative and relaxed – but it can also be frustrating! this is just a reminder to stay present and take a deep breath and a short break as needed.
your experience will be more enjoyable, and you’ll be less likely to slice a finger on a sharp edge.
